Cassadaga Job Corps Center has partnered with Goodwill of Western NY for their Workforce Readiness Program Goodskills Career Builder.  Our 3rd Graduate of the Program Apelito pictured below said he got a lot out of the experience.  He fine-tuned his employability skills while with the organization. Goodskills is a 3 week program focusing on getting a job and keeping a job.  Trainees earn a Shop Math Certification from Jamestown Community College and OSHA 10 General Industry.  Skills assessment, interview techniques and experiences within the Manufacturing Industry locally were all part of the experience.  Trainees have access to Goodskills’ Career Coaches and Job Fairs for 3 years after Graduation.  Apelito connected with recent Job Corps & Goodskills Graduate Damon Harrison while visiting his current employer during experiential exploration.  Damon found his calling through the Goodskills experience and is loving the work he is doing!
