Cassadaga students attended several events at our local civic education center.  We kicked the month of February off with First Amendment Day where students were given a chance to explore through workshops presented by different community partners throughout the center.  Book bans, bias, credible news, and where to draw the line in Comedy with free speech were all topics up for discussion. The program concluded with a interpretive dance and discussion on Arts funding in the United States.

The Center had a full calendar of Civic Education with a Black History Month theme.  Students attended Living Voices: Fly for Freedom and Right to Dream, and 25 Years of Asking Questions: Who Gets to go to School?.  We are grateful to have this local gem to explore, learn, and remember.
