Cassadaga CVS Students Work Hard for Relay for Life

For the past 7 years Pharmacy Technician Instructor Deni Trippi has involved her pharmacy trade students in fundraising efforts for the Relay for Life Cancer Walk by having them join her Relay team – Team She-Pak. This year her class has worked at many different projects including on and off center can and bottle drives, collecting spare change from staff and students as well as opening the “Snack Shack”. The Snack Shack is open during lunch hours for staff and students to buy gum, drinks and candy with the proceeds raised being donated to the Relay for Life team. Their next endeavor is assisting Team She-Pak with their traveling fundraiser. This required the assistance of the Carpentry trade who designed and built a sign and painting trade who painted 3 tires and the sign for the team. The tires will be placed on a volunteer recipient’s lawn in the local community. The recipient will need to make a $10 donation to have the tires removed and for an additional $10 donation can choose who the next lucky recipient is. The Relay for Life Cancer walk will be held at the Fredonia State track on June 11th.
