Cascades Job Corps students received the Volunteer of the Year award during Community Action of Skagit County’s annual Spirit of Hope Breakfast. Community Action officials cited Cascades dedication to Community Action’s programs that serve senior citizens and disabled clients, as well as SGA’s efforts to support those in need during the holidays by donating items to some of their other programs including the literacy program, emergency family shelter, and maternity facility.
Community Action of Skagit County is a private non-profit human service agency formed in 1979, with over 30 anti-poverty programs to create paths to prosperity and a thriving community for all.
