SGA students worked closely with Skagit Community Action Agency to provide Thanksgiving dinner for two families. One family consisted of two sisters living together, each, with two children. The other meal was provided for a single mother with three small children. it’s been a real struggle for both families.
I addition, students worked with Lummi Child Services, and purchased Christmas presents for 10 children in foster care. They also made personalized fleece blankets for each child. The SGA purchased gifts and will provide refreshments for Cascades’ students who are remaining on center during the Christmas holiday.
