Melinda Mencia-Bonilla found in Cascades Job Corps a home and hope for a better future. Melinda enrolled in September 2022, as she had been in unstable housing situations through foster care and shelters. She wanted a more secure future and was introduced to Cascades Job Corps. She began her career path in the High School program and worked diligently on earning her high school diploma in November 2023.

She wasn’t done there! Melinda moved into her trade in Office Administration and was recently enrolled in Skagit Valley College through the Advanced Career Training program in December 2023. Magdalena, Admissions Counselor, has observed Melinda’s perseverance in that, “Melinda is positive in every way and loves to inspire others. I am very impressed with her growth and her interest to continue her education with college.”
