The Cascades Culinary students put on a great show again this year at the annual “Sample of Sedro”, an event sponsored by the Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce, that features the culinary talents of local restaurateurs and vendors. The students prepared beef tacos with spicey mango salsa, fresh fruit kabobs, spinach artichoke dip with vegetables and homemade bread.

They also demonstrated their skills by piping buttercream frosting onto sugar cookies and gluten free chocolate cupcakes. By the end of the evening they had received high praise and rave reviews not only for the food, but for their hard work and dedication. They received further recognition at a recent Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce luncheon meeting, where they were given a special plaque for having the best looking display booth at this years event.
