What a challenge it was for Robert Sargent Shriver, who forty years ago created a successful program called, “JOB CORPS”. On January 26, Carville Job Corps Center students realized as they viewed the documentary video of the late Robert Sargent Shriver, that the nation had lost a great man who was advocate for the poor, a champion of service, a man who had a vision and a compassion for helping at-risk youngsters get a fresh start in life, armed with makeable skills and an academic background.  The students felt the need and a responsibility to give back a Thank- You-by being a successful product of a great program specifically designed for them.
