Carville Job Corps Center Roustabout student employee Crystal Brandon was hired by KBR as a contract employee in the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill facility located in Port Hudson, Louisiana as a fire watchman.  Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Kellogg Brown & Root is an international, technology-based engineering and construction company providing a full spectrum of industry-leading services to the hydrocarbon, chemical, energy, forest products and manufacturing industries. Crystal was hired on the spot after searching the local newspaper want ads in her Career Transition Readiness class.   Carville received a call several weeks prior to Crystal being hired by a KBR workforce development representative wanting to visit Carville.  KBR representative stated following the tour how impressed he was with the Carville career technical training curriculums offered and that the Carville student employees were indeed a definite match to what KBR-Kellogg Brown & Root employees are.
