CARVILLE STUDENT LEADERSHIP ELVES-SPREADS CHRISTMAS CHEER

  • Ø On December 8, 2011 Carville Job Corps Student Leadership Elves left Carville to spread Christmas cheer throughout the community.  Their 1st stop was Iberville Head Start program .Carville Student Leadership (SLA) Elves entered into the classroom caroling We Wish You A Merry Christmas”.  . The students roared!! The Carville Elves read Christmas stories to the children who were very enthusiastic, The Head starters sang “Jingle Bells” to the Carville SLA Elves who passed out Christmas treats before leaving.  Next stop was to the office of the U.S Congressmen Bill Cassidy –R -6th District entered singing Christmas carols to the office staff.  Student Elves presented the Congressman office with a Poinsettia in appreciation of their support and service to Carville.  Ms. Burges, office administrator informed the elves that there had been protesters earlier that morning and they were very appreciative of the holiday cheer we bought to them that day. After leaving there, the SLA Elves stopped to sing Christmas carols at Red Sticks Sports, a center vendor. The Leadership Elves spoke with the store employee s and expressed their appreciation for the projects they’ve completed for Carville. The store manager also stated how they appreciated the holiday cheer we brought into the store.
