Carville Job Corps Center students and staff Commemorated the 11th Anniversary of 911 in a 9a.m. ceremony held in the center’s gymnasium.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance, followed by the singing of the Star Spangled Banner sung by student employee, Palencia Turner. Student, Brandon Pugh reminded students and staff of the acts of terrorism that forever changed our nation and the world and  Crystal Brandon recited a poem entitled, “I Saw An Eagle Cry!”( written after 911; author unknown).  Following the program, students and staff assembled on the center’s football field, formed a circle and joined hands -which is symbolic of Unity and Strength; paused for a moment of silence and launched RED, WHITE and BLUE  balloons to conclude the 911 Memorial Tribute.
