Carville Job Corps Center American Petroleum Institute -Roustabout students traveled to Lafayette, Louisiana with instructor John Taylor where they were afforded the opportunity to participate in not one but two (2) job fairs held at separate hotels, Crown Plaza Hotel and the Hilton Hotel. The students met with representatives from Chesapeake Energy, Nomacs Drilling and Weatherford Drilling who are also participating partners with Carville Job Corps Center American Petroleum Institute –Roustabout program. The students obtained face to face interviewing experience and were informed of the different employment opportunities available, shifts, and benefits that vary among companies. While attending the job fairs, student employees had the pleasure of meeting former Carville Roustabout graduates who were also in attendance. Instructor John Taylor also used the trip as an opportunity to promote Carville’s Roustabout Program to other participating companies. Good Luck Students Employees!
