Students employees from Carville Job Corps Center visited the newly renovated Ascension Parish Library in Gonzales, LA and saw the Baton Rouge Playmakers perform the play, “Penny and Paul, the Dreadful D Minus.” What a treat! The play was funny and the students roared along with the many viewers there at the antics of Penny and Paul.  Ms. Henry the branch librarian held a guided tour of the spacious new library that has many modern features such as using computer to locate books instead of the old card catalog in drawers. Several of the students used the computers to find books and were impressed with how simple it was to operate.

Not only can the students borrow books, but DVD’s, videos, magazines and the more advanced talking books and now graphic books, and soon to come checking out laptops. WOW!
