Carville Job Corps Student Employees and staff participated in Baton Rouge’s Earth Day Festival theme “Tis Land Is Our land”, as part of the center’s Earth Day and Global Youth Service Day Activities.  The students volunteered with corporate sponsors as recycle team members for the event handing out information about recycling efforts in the community and also handed out recycled pencils to children. Student Employees also gave out sticker “badges” that read Recycling Ranger to young and old event goers.   The Earth Day Festival was held on, and around, the grounds of the Old State Capital Building in Baton Rouge, LA.
