Carville Job Corps Center held its 12th Semi Annual Commencement Ceremony, August 29, 2011. Keynote speaker, the Honorable Lionel Johnson, Jr. mayor of the town of ST. GABRIEL, LA encouraged the eighty-three student employees to “Believe in yourself in the power that you have to control your own life, day by day, believe in the strength you have inside and how your faith will help show you the way, believe in tomorrow and what it will bring. Just trust and believe and there’s no limit to what you can do”, before receiving their certificates, turning their tassels and singing their class song- “Never Give Up”, by gospel recording artist Yolanda Adams. Some two hundred family members, friends, fellow colleagues, community partners and corporate guest were in attendance for this congratulatory occasion. GOOD LUCK GRADUATES!!!
