Charly Sholty, volunteer coordinator for Appalachian Hospice Care, recently presented students from Carl D. Perkins Job Corps with a plaque of appreciation for their assistance with Appalachian Hospice Care’s Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon, held at the National Guard Armory on Nov. 10, 2016. Perkins students set up tables and chairs before the event, served lunch and assisted with parking and clean up after the event. This is the fourth year that Perkins Job Corps students have assisted with this event. Carl D. Perkins Job Corps appreciates its partnership with Appalachian Hospice Care, and the opportunities this partnership presents for our students to give back to the community.
