Perkins Job Corps students feeding families for Thanksgiving

Carl D Perkins Job Corps student Eternity Preciado contributed her holiday time, to feeding families for Thanksgiving. Preciado, a 21 year old Advanced Security trainee at Perkins Job Corps center, currently serves as an intern at St. Vincent Mission, while awaiting her return to center to complete her certifications and training.
Through the St. Vincent Mission and Bright Beginnings childcare center partnership, Preciado was able to experience the actions and power of organizing and providing 120 dinners to individuals and families in need. Sunday, November 22, 2020 marked the 6th Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner giveaway the Childcare center and partners have sponsored.
” I enjoy giving back to the community, it has helped me grow as a person. I have built positive relationships in the community and this experience has opened my eyes, to see the world in a different light” exclaims Preciado
Preciado, plans to complete her advanced security training at Carl D. Perkins Job Corps upon reopening and joining the military. In the meantime, she is content with her internship, growing fruits and vegetables, vending at the farmers market, and gaining real world community service skills.
