Former Carl D. Perkins graduate Ricky Tracy is working 2 jobs and attending college courses. Let’s talk about a go getter! Tracy came to Carl D. Perkins in October of 2018 formerly of Winchester, KY. While there he completed his NCCER, OSHA-10, HPIP certifications and the facility maintenance trade. His high school mentors prior to job corps presented the job corps opportunity to him, and he took full advantage of the program attending Drone Pilot Advanced Training at Oneonta Job Corps after completing Facility Maintenance a Carl D. Perkins. Tracy now lives in Louisville working through the UPS Loop program as a PT package handler making $14/hr. and attending classes through Jefferson Community and Technical College. He also works Part time at the Bellamy Student apartments as a leasing coordinator where he lives. Tracy will continue his hard work and plans to move into a technical remote pilot program at UPS to utilize his drone pilot license in the short future. Tracy admits “I’m really not sure where I would be now without the job corps program. I want youth considering the job corps program to know that Job Corps wants the best for you, you have to want the best for yourself, and it’s a good place to go.”
