Carl D. Perkins students spent two weeks assisting with the Floyd County 4-H summer camps held at local elementary schools. Students work with youngsters at Betsy Layne and Prestonsburg elementary. Students got to help with craft projects, basketball skills, drawing , painting, and various games. 4-H is the nation’s largest positive youth development and youth mentoring organization, empowering six million young people in the U.S. Perkins is always happy to assist the community with this event each year. This makes the 2nd year the center has participated.
