Job Corps worked for Carl D. Perkins Job Corps graduate Jared Rogers by giving him the training he needed to land a firefighting job and build a career with the US Forest Service.
Rogers form Plant City , FL enrolled at Perkins Job Corps for the Security & Protective Services Program in 2011. However, completing that program didn’t mean an end to his Job Corps training. Rogers was accepted into the and completed the Advanced Wildland Forest Fire Management Training program at the Schenck Job Corps Center in North Carolina in 2012 and began working as a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service4, a career he has had for the past six years.
As a wildland firefighter, Rogers has fought fires in Colorado and surrounding states. He currently lives in Tennessee.
