Carl D. Perkins reading Instructors take advantage of Halloween month to make learning fun and a little spooky. Students in Ms. Betty Bartlett’s reading class along with Ms. Deborah Osborne’s Reading class and Tiffany Halls math class have been reading “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving. As an enrichment activity, the three instructors took twenty-one students to visit One of A Kind Pumpkin Patch in Tutor Key, KY. Students were treated to a hayride down to the pumpkin patch, where they each chose a pumpkin to bring back to the center to be used in our center-wide pumpkin carving contest. Students also enjoyed holding rabbits and feed the horses and goats.
Carl D. Perkins instructors work hard to make learning fun for the students. Thanks for your hard work!
