Students of the Security and Protective Services job training program at Carl D. Perkins Job Corps recently worked the concert of country super group Diamond Rio at the East Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville, KY on Nov. 30th.

The night of family fun featured Holiday classics and some of the group’s top hits. Perkins Security students checked in concert goers, using portable scanning wands, and checked bags and tickets to ensure everyone’s safety.

By working events like this, students put their classroom training to use and gain additional work experience that positions them for successful careers in the security field once they complete their training at Perkins Job Corps.
