Carl D. Perkins Y2Y group handing out Candy Canes with positive messages to students before they depart this week for Winter break. The group wanted to remind students to stay focused, on positive influences, and attached each message to the candy cane with Christmas ribbon. “These are a great group of students to work with and they are also planning events when students return for the New Year”, stated staff sponsor Perkins BCL Jimmie Slone

The Perkins team have been informed by the National Office that the National Director will host a Y2Y Listening & Learning Session at the National Office of Job Corps in Washington, D.C., on January 20 and 21. That National Office has identified three-to-four Job Corps centers per region to participate, and Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center has been selected.
