On Thursday September 4th, Carl D. Perkins Office Administration(O&A) students started another school year of working with the Floyd County School System. O&A students Edward Strider & Brandon McGuire gave McDowell Elementary Head Start parents presentation on the Job Corps Program. Specifically the Carl D. Perkins Program. where both students have been enrolled for the last six months.

This kicks off  the third school year that the Center has worked with the School System attending each parent meeting with the Head Start, giving information about the program, for others that could benefit from attending. Students also go into the Head Start classroom and do various activities with the students.  

Students from the Security & Protective Services Class, Culinary and Carpentry also work on various projects throughout the school year with the school system.
