Perkins Job Corps Advanced Training Security students put their training to use while working security for the concert of country music star Gary Allan on Nov. 10, at the East Kentucky EXPO Center in Pikeville, KY. Perkins students worked the entrance of the concert, checking in each visitor and looking for any prohibited items to ensure safety for all concert goers. During the show, students did safety patrols around the arena, main stage and outside.

Events such as these give students experience in the many different aspects of what a security officer’s job entails and the kind of events security officers work
