On Thursday December 15, 2015 the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps was recognized by the City of Prestonsburg during their city council meeting. Mayor Les Stapleton, presented Perkins Center Director Mr. Thomas Rainey with a plaque, for all  the students hard work providing event security for the East KY Arm Drop Drag Races throughout the 2015 season.
