During the months of May and June, the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps worked with the KY State Police to assist with training students and staff. Both the Security & Protective Services and Office Administration Classes received training on Cyber security, departmental procedures, following policy, crime scene investigation, taking good and accurate information, and professionalism.
KY State Police Detective’s William Petry and Jimmy Nolte visited the classes several times, to train students and answer any questions the students may have, and they had many.
Detective Nolte also set in with staff to discuss different trends they have seen with teens over the last year. The Perkins Job Corps wants to thank both Detectives and the KY State Police for all they have done and continue to do for the Perkins Center.
