Carl d. Perkins graduate comes back to motivate others during College/Career Day
Perkins graduate 20 year old Tyler Williams from Weeksbury, KY had a different role during his visit on 3/2/17. Tyler a Perkins student from August, 2015 to October 2016, hadn’t been back until the College/Career Day Event. Tyler employed with Secure KY, a Security company out of Pikeville, KY. That specializes in providing security for hospitals, schools, offices, factories, stores, and mines. While also providing event planning, loss prevention, asset protection, and investigations.
Tyler along with manager of Secure KY former State Trooper Scott Hopkins talked to students about opportunities with the company. Tyler also had the opportunity to remind other students that he was where they are now, and work hard, and you will succeed. Tyler graduated from the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps in October 2016. He completed the Security & Protective Services trade, while working on several community projects and did event security for events such as concerts, Hill Billy Days, Arm Drop Drag Races along with local Police Agencies.
Secure KY Scott Hopkins states that “Perkins Job Corps prepared Tyler well for the Security field”.
