On Monday December 5, students learned about recycling and using their imagination, while also enjoying some holiday fun with the Floyd County Homemakers Club. The students spent the morning making homemade Holiday ornaments to be used for an upcoming community project. The homemakers club assisted students in making ornaments out of recycled materials such as old CD’s, record albums, coffee cans, pieces of scrap tin, popsicle sticks were just a few. Students put the materials to good use by making snowmen, Santa’s, Christmas trees and angles.
The Carl D. Perkins would like to thank the Floyd County Home makers club for spending their morning with students and always so willing to assist the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps with their knowledge and skills.
