Carl D Perkins Job Corps Student with BCL Jimmie Slone along with Whitney M Young Job Corps Center representing KY Job Corps met with Lt. Governor Hampton in her office during National Job Shadow Day. Lt. governor Hampton, talked with students about her role as Lt. governor and gave information on her background prior to office. She was born in the inner-city of Detroit. Despite watching her mother struggle to raise four girls, she didn’t let that stop her from reaching her goals. She earned an industrial Engineering degree in 1985, joined the US. Air Force as a computer system’s officer. When leaving the students, Lt. Governor Hampton, reminded them to treat others as they want to be treated, and they can achieve anything they want, but without being honest and treating others well,
