Carl D. Perkins Job Corps students assisted with the Eastern Kentucky Cares: Hope from the Mountains Radiothon held on Thursday September 7, 2017 at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, KY. Several Office Administration students spent hours answering phones and taking pledges for the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The Radiothon sponsored by WYMT News, had several area business and community volunteers to assist with event.

The event raised over $450,000 for the hurricane victims. All of the money will go to Samaritan’s Purse, the Salvation a Army, and the Houston Food Bank.
