On Friday December 2, 2016 Carl D. Perkins held the last graduation in 2016, were twenty-three students participated in. Students had the opportunity to listen to Staff Sergeant Davin S. Erickson guest speaker for the event. Sergeant spoke to the graduates about opportunity, and it’s never too late to do the things you want to do. Erickson also went on to say that hard work, is essential to success. Sergeant Erickson, joined the Marine Corps in 2003, and has held a multi military occupations specialties during his time in service to the country. Carl D. Perkins would like to thank Sergeant Erickson for taking the time to come and speak at the ceremony.

The graduation was attended by several community and family members that traveled from Penn, West VA and throughout KY to join their children in celebrating this milestone in their lives. Students and their families enjoyed a first class reception following the ceremony, prepared by the Perkins Culinary arts class. Carl D. Perkins would like to congratulate all of the graduates for their hard work and dedication.
