Students from Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center built the raised garden beds and special raised garden beds for the residents that live at Highland Terrace a senior living community located in Prestonsburg, KY. The beds gives the residents an opportunity to have a garden, when otherwise they would not have enough space around the complex to do so. The Special raised garden beds are for those residents in wheelchairs that cannot get down on the ground to pull weeds, and work on their garden. The special beds are high enough residents can sit in their wheelchair and pull weeds and garden. Thanks to the Perkins Carpentry students for using their skills to help others in need and make their days more enjoyable being able to work in their garden.
