Carl D. Perkins holds Community Relations Council Meeting

Perkins hold Community Relations Council (CRC) meeting, introduces new Center Director to the community.

The Carl D. Perkins Job Corps center held its quarterly CRC meeting on October 13, at the center. This was the first meeting under the new Center Director Ms. Paula Davis which was the perfect opportunity for her to discuss her goals and plans for the center. There were 35 community members in attendance along with center staff, student government association members, and KY outreach admissions staff.

The CRC serves as a liaison between the center and the surrounding communities. It is used as a forum to inform the community about projects for the center, share information about changes in center rules, procedures and activities that may affect the community, and plan events of mutual interest to create and maintain community relations and community support. The council is made up of various representatives of business, civic, and educational organizations, elected officials: law enforcement agencies, staff and student representatives.

Perkins would like to thank all of the council member’s that took part in the meeting.
