Shente, 21 years old from Jefferson, Georgia, states that she
always followed others and those she chose to follow were
going no where positive. She never felt good about herself;
consequently, she never completed anything.
She enrolled at the Brunswick Job Corps center in November,
2009. Since her enrollment, she has accomplished the
following:
• Completed Medical Office Support
• A certified Medical Administrative Assistant
• Obtained GED
• Center Director’s Award of Excellence
• CTT Award of Excellence
• Enrolled at the College of Coastal Georgia pursuing a
degree in Business Administration

Her goal is to work as a hospital administrator. She feels Job
Corps has helped her discover herself and tap into her full
potential.
