Brooklyn’s Face of Job Corps

 

Philip Reed is the Brooklyn Job Corps Academy’s nominee for the Faces of Job Corps Campaign.  Phillip started the Brooklyn Job Corps Academy on April 14, 2008, a date he says he will never forget because it changed his life for the better.  “Job Corps has taken me on an unimaginable journey that was filled with so many highs; it gave me the extra push of endurance to see my goals achieved,” Philip said when asked about his Job Corps experience.   While at the Brooklyn Job Corps Academy as a Homeland Security trainee, Philip received the following:  • 8 hour security certification

 • 16 hour security certification

 • NYS Security License

 • CPR & First Aid

 • 6 F.E.M.A certificates

 • Drivers License

 After completing his training at the Brooklyn Job Corps Academy Philip was accepted into the E.M.T advance training program at the Edison Job Corps Academy where he earned the following credentials:

 • ASHI First Responders

 • Healthcare Provider (CPR & AED)

 • Heart Saver Blood Borne Pathogens

 • CEVO 3 Ambulance

 • E.M.T License
