On Saturday, October 17th, 2015, 10 female trainees from Brooklyn Job Corps attended the Circle of Sisters sponsored by HOT 97. The expo occurs annually and is the largest event for women of color in New York City. Circle of Sisters also hosted a variety of panel discussions, seminars, inspirational services, R&B and gospel concerts. A fashion show, in addition to over 200 vendors and small businesses selling unique items and services were hand on all weekend. Any opportunity that can expand the minds of a Brooklyn Job Corps trainee is positive one. Circle of Sisters was the perfect opportunity as several of the Brooklyn Ladies stayed until the doors closed.
