Brooklyn Job Corps has partnered with City Harvest, the largest food advocacy organization in New York City. City Harvest works tirelessly to feed 1.4 million hungry New Yorkers each year. While doing so, they strive to recruit volunteers which will help educate and train all New Yorkers on how to eat smarter, healthy and less expensive meals.
City Harvest conducted a 3 Week Course “Healthy Cooking Matters” with the Brooklyn Culinary Students which included numerous ways to substitute ingredients and prepare foods for individuals looking for less salt and sugar, but with a whole lot of taste.
