For one healthcare industry in Southwest Virginia, business is booming.  Mountain States Health Alliance recently opened a brand new state-of-the art hospital in Abingdon, VA.  To their disappointment, they have had a very hard time finding healthcare employees who have been trained in Electronic Health Records.  Blue Ridge Job Corps came to the rescue, with a student who is trained in everything they needed.  Cindy Barahona, a Nurse Assistant who is graduating in September 2011, has already been hired by Johnston Memorial Hospital  (Mountain States Health Alliance) as a Nurse Assistant with Electronic Health Records expereince.  Because Cindy had excellent interview skills, the right qualifications and an excellent portfolio, the hospital gave her the choice of 4 different job positions with excellent pay scales.  Cindy chose to work on the pediatrics unit and started work September 12, 2011.
