On Saturday, April 30, members of the Blue Ridge Job Corps Student Government Association participated and volunteered for the Relay for Life Triathalon event at Hungry Mother State Park. There were over 30 entries, both male and female, several whom are cancer survivors themselves. Our students acted as spotters and directed participants for the course trail. Following the event, all participants and volunteers were treated to a meal, during which time, Blue Ridge Job Corps students were personally recognized by officials for giving volunteer service and encouragement to the participants.
