Blue Ridge Paints Down the Groundwork for Local Artist

“Painting down the Groundwork” published by Smyth County News and Messenger on Aug. 20, 2011. The article showcased BRJCC students who are volunteering on the weekends to help paint a community mural that will be displayed on the side of a historic brick building (new business) in downtown Marion. BRJCC students have been sketching, painting and designing parts of the mural. BRJCC will be showcased on the actual mural, as well as many historic Marion entities. The mural will be 36 ft x 26 ft. high.
