On Thursday September 22, 2016 38 students from Blue Ridge Job Corps received the Presidential Volunteer service Award. The award recognizes students that have earned over 100 hours of community service. Blue Ridge is fused into almost every aspect of making the world a better place for Marion, and surrounding communities. From food banks, to helping out elementary schools, Blue Ridge has been reason for many smiles in the area. The Presidential Volunteer Service Award recipients receive a certificate signed by the Presidents with the students name on it, and a letter from the White House thanking them for their commitment to community service.
