On Saturday January 14, 2017 Blue Ridge Job Corps students joined with Appalachian Peace Education Center in celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King. It began with a intergenerational forum at Charles Wesley United Methodist Church in Abingdon Virginia . The forum emphasized Dr. King vision, and how it translates in today’s society. Following the forum was a peace march down main street in Abingdon, Virginia. The march ended at the First United Methodist Church where a celebration took place in honor of the man who vision transformed a nation.
Blue Ridge Job Corps Students Participate in MLK Parade
