The Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks Job Corps Center hosted a 5K walk/run on April 30 in honor of our namesake. This walk/run started at the National Civil Rights Museum and went through downtown Memphis overlooking the bluff. Students from the Hook, Finch-Henry and Gulfport center participated in this event also. All Proceeds from the walk were donated to the Civil Rights Museum and The University of Memphis, Benjamin L. Hooks Institute of Social Change.
