On April 22, 2010 – Today a group of students from Barranquitas Job Corps Center who are enrolled in the Building Maintenance and Masonry programs worked on an Earth Day Everyday project.  Accompanied by two of its teachers and staff, these students along with the municipality of Aibonito, were given the task of cleaning and conditioning a stretch of Highway # 14 that goes from Aibonito to Coamo.  The students spent several hours collecting and properly disposing of litter that had accumulated along the highway.
