BARRANQUITAS STUDENTS MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN RESIDENTIAL SENIOR CITIZENS

As part of the celebration of Make a Difference Day (Make a Difference Day), students and staff Barranquitas Job Corps Academy, gathered at the Geriatric Center La Hermandad de Barranquitas where they shared with residents and seniors receiving services there.

During their visit, students from Licensed Practical Nursing workshop offered health clinics, while students from different technical courses filled with joy to the residents with music, dancing and various recreational activities. Our youth also presented with a variety of fruit and snacks to their diets. This day they made ​​a difference to this group of people which was great company, love and enjoyment for all regardless of diversity.

The Make a Difference Day is one of the larger activities carried out in America. Sponsored by the American magazine USA Weekend in partnership with Hands On Network, the Make a Difference Day aims to motivate people to perform community service voluntarily. Job Corps Schools are no exception and join this cause.
