The Bamberg Job Corps Center Welcomes Our New Center Director

The Bamberg Job Corps Center is moving in and under a new direction.   The Bamberg Job Corps Staff and Students are ecstatic to have on center the new Center Director, Eric L. M. Jones.  Mr. Jones comes to us highly recommended from Miami, Florida.  He is originally from the Kansas/Missouri area.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Pittsburg State University, Master’s Degree in Business Management from Minot State University.  Mr. Jones has plans to receive his Ph. D. in Child Psychology in the next few years.
Mr. Jones is no stranger to Job Corps. He started his career at Excelsior Springs Job Corps just outside of Kansas City as a Career Counselor and Student Government Association (SGA) Coordinator for over nine years.  He was employed with Parsons State Hospital and Training Center as a Resident Advisor and Recreation Special Olympic for ten years.  He was employed with Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, Kentucky as Senior Counselor and then promoted to Independent Living Manger over the Auto/Welding and Construction campuses. Mr. Jones moved from there and received a promotion from Flint Genesee Job Corps as Career Development Manager.
Mr. Jones is looking forward to being Center Director at Bamberg Job Corps Center. Mr. Jones is bringing his Job Corps experience, Professional Coaching approach for staff and students, high interactive energy, positive problem solving skills sets and a strong level of commitment.  Mr. Jones comments, “Under the Leadership of DESI Corporate Leaders, and the great student culture and the high performing staff on center, I am confident that I will lead the center back to being a top performing center and I want to ensure that each Bamberg Job Corps graduate has the skills to be successful in their career endeavors.”
