The Health Fair hosted by Congressman Jim Clyburn and the Rudolph Canzater Memorial Classic has been helping citizens of all ages for over 20 years. This year, the Health Fair was held in Santee at the Santee Conference Center on August 5, 2011 from 10:00 a.m., to 2:00 p.m. The Health Fair provides free screenings of cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, glaucoma and prostate screenings.

Many Business leaders and elected officials come from all over to participate in the Rudolph Canzater Memorial Golf Classic at the Lake Marion Golf Course in Santee, SC. This year the tournment was held on August 5th-7th. The money that is received from the Golf Tournaments will assist graduates who desire to go to college. The proceeds will fund need-based scholarships to students who live in 6th Congressional District. Since the existence of the Rudolph Canzater Memorial Golf Classic has funded over 500 scholarships to students and over $500,000 has been contributed to the James E. Clyburn Endowment to South Carolina State University.
