BJCC Students “Save the Last Dance”

Save the Last Dance was the theme of the night for the 2012 Winter Prom of students of Bamberg Job Corps Center. The Winter Prom was held on January 26th from 8:00-11:00 p.m., where students enjoyed plenty of dancing, singing, eating and picture-taking. The cafeteria was beautifully decorated in colors of black, burgundy and silver. The Students always look for the opportunity to be able to dress in their after five attire.

Our female students were dressed in gowns of different styles and colors. They wore the matching shoes, a nice manicure and their hair was styled to perfection. The males looked handsome in their two-piece/three piece suits where they too have their cool hair cuts. Every student that came to the prom looked like a new students with the different attire. Staff attended also and talked about how they enjoyed the Prom as well.

There can’t a prom without the crowning of the King and Queen. The King for the 2012 Winter Prom is Joshua Jackson and Queen is Marah Charles. Marah is 23 years old Office Administration student from Raeford, North Carolina. Marah has her high school diploma and she has been at Job Corps for about 3 months. Joshua is 19 years old Computer Technician student who is from Hartville, SC. He has been at Job Corps for about 2 months. Both students stated, “They were shocked their names were voted on to be the king and queen but they were happy.”
