BJCC assists Bamberg (MAMAS) Animal Shelter in clean-up

The Bamberg Job Corps Center assisted the MAMAS Animal Shelter in Bamberg on Tuesday, April 5, 2011.  The storm left tree branches all over, tin blown afar and dog houses destroyed.  Joe Guess, President of the Animal Shelter, which is run by the city of Bamberg, called on Job Corps for some assistance in the clean-up.  Volunteers are always needed to help with the everyday feeding, walking and cleaning of the shelters.  The Bamberg Job Corps is always willing to assist in the community in whatever capacity we are needed.   With the request of our Center Director, Eric Jones, dog houses will be built and donated by our Carpentry students under the instruction of the Carpentry instructor, Shawn Hale.  The Carpentry students in front from left to right are Sean Calhoun, Kyla Stinson and Martaz Hall; Top from left to right, Troy Harris, Thomas Black, Whitney Gregory, Brandon Cochran, Joe Guess, President of MAMAS Animal Shelter, Erin Goodwin and Samantha Storey.
